We have no puppies at this time and probably won't have any until sometime in 2010. Check back after the first of the year. However, Walker is looking for a new home. If you are interested, please contact me.
Buying a puppy from Oppendox Kennels...
We will not sell our puppies to puppy mills, puppy brokers, or pet stores for any reason. We will not sell our puppies to anyone unless they have filled out our Puppy Application and we have spoken with them directly and conducted an interview. We reserve the right to turn down any perspective buyer at our discretion.
We sell puppies to loving people as lifetime companions. We also sell puppies to reputable breeders whom we know we can trust to provide safe, healthy, happy homes for our puppies.
Please do not be upset with us for asking a lot of questions. We're not trying to be nosy nor are we trying to pry. We just want to make sure our puppies have a loving home for a lifetime.
About our puppies...
All puppies are birthed in our home and raised with the family and all of our other dogs. The puppies are taken to our veterinarian between 7 and 8 weeks of age for their first check up, which includes a complete thorough exam, fecal check, and receipt of a New Hampshire health certificate.
It is your responsibility to take your new puppy to your vet within 72 hours after we turn your puppy/dog over to you for a comprehensive health checkup. Due to their age, puppies may not have had all of their required vaccinations. We keep our puppies until they are a minimum of 8 weeks and prefer to keep them until they are 10 weeks of age. When they leave here, they are well-adjusted socially to family life, healthy, and have been treated to lots of TLC (tender, loving care).
Our puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract unless we have discussed this prior to the sale and you have paid an extra fee. We register all of our litters with the American Kennel Club (AKC), but it is up to you whether you wish to register the individual puppy. We will give you the paperwork to register your puppy when you give us proof from your veterinarian that your puppy has been spayed or neutered.
We will ship puppies, but prefer to have them picked up if possible. We will not ship a puppy until we feel it is ready to be shipped, usually around 10 to 12 weeks. Prices vary per airlines and are subject to change - see Shipping Information. If you are driving a full day to pick up your puppy, we will be more than happy to offer you our guestroom for an overnight stay.
We require a $200 non-refundable deposit for our puppies. We also require that the balance due be paid in full prior to the puppy turning 7 weeks of age. If your puppy is to be shipped, the cost of shipping and handling is due at 7 weeks of age also. We prefer payment in the form of cash, PayPal, or a US Postal Money Order. We will accept your personal check, but we will wait until it has completely cleared your bank before giving you credit for your puppy. Should someone come forward with a guaranteed form of payment before your check has cleared, then they will have priority, and you may lose your puppy.
You may use your credit or debit card using PayPal. They will instantly notify us of payments received. ALL PayPal payments will reflect an additional 3.5% surcharge.
