Home

Oppendox Kennels is located on 10 acres in Enfield, New Hampshire, facing the Green Mountains of Vermont. My husband, Keith, and I fell in love with long-haired Dachshunds when we lived in Germany. We have raised and sold only AKC registered miniature, longhaired, Dachshund puppies since 1983. We take great pride in offering quality, healthy, purebred dogs and puppies with outstanding dispositions.

NEVER, NEVER let anyone tell you that Dachshunds and kids don't go together. This is Riley, Steve and Terri Purcell's granddaughter (or Moxie's mom and dad) with Rosie, one of our puppies that has gone to her new home. It was instant love with both of them.

Darling Dora

The Puppyworks Darling Dora... is an 11-pound black and tan dapple with a wonderful gentle personality. She's one of the most laid back dogs we've ever owned. She will lie on her back and hand us a paw so we can cut her nails. She's absolutely one of the sweetest dogs we've ever owned. She was bred at our own kennel. [view pedigree]

Sylmar's April Flower - AKA "Cala"

Sylmar's April Flower called "Cala" is a little cream-colored clown. Cala is our first champion! She thoroughly enjoys the show ring holding her head and tail high with a perky little gait. This precious little 9 pound wonder bosses the other dogs around and tries to rule the roost. She may be a little sourthern girl, but she sure loves the snow!  Cala comes to us from Maria Wild in Clarksville, TN, from a long line of champions. Sylmar's Summer Breeze, called "Breezy," comes to us from Maria Wild in Clarksville, TN, and is a marvelous addition to our kennel. She'll be entering her first show on March 22. She's a beautiful clear red girl with no black on her coat at all. At times she looks like a cream until she is next to either Walker or Cala and then you can see that she's red. [view pedigree]

Rose Farm's Waltzing Matilda called "Matilda." Many thanks to Dee Hutchinson for allowing us the opportunity of owning one of Rose Farm's famous dogs. Matilda is a beautiful red with a very heavy black overlaid coat who loves to snuggle up on the couch for naps. [view pedigree]

Rose Farm's English Sweet Bun

Rose Farm's English Sweet Bun, called "Chelsea," comes to the Oppendox Kennel from Dee Hutchinson, one of the premier breeders of Dachshunds. She's a feisty little redhead that has adapted well to the other Oppendox dogs. It will be a while, but she'll be in the show ring strutting her stuff someday. Thanks Dee for entrusting this little angel to me. [view pedigree]

Magnolia's Tennessee Walker

Magnolia's Tennessee Walker. Walker is the onsite stud for The Puppyworks Kennel. He is an 11-pound cream Doxie. Walker is our only stud and is very possessive of his own private harem. A special thank you to my wonderful friend and mentor, Tina Shepard at Magnolia's Dachshunds for the opportunity to have my wonderful boy, Walker. [view pedigree]
